1. What is the Shoply mission?

We’re passionate about convenience and adding value to our customers’ busy lives. Our goal is to provide choice and ease by connecting you to your local shop online. We hand-select independent shops to partner with, who offer a range of top-quality groceries, household essentials, drinks & snacks, delivered as quickly as possible to the comfort of your own home.

2. Why would I use Shoply, I can just go to the shop?

You can buy a pizza, order a taxi in 2 minutes or even find yourself a hot date for the evening, all by just turning to your phone. But until now, you haven’t been able to order your groceries and essentials at the click of a few buttons – we’re here to change that!

Perhaps you don’t live near a convenience store or supermarket. Or don’t want to get caught in the rain, can’t leave the house, have friends over, don’t want to miss your favourite TV show, can’t get a convenient delivery slot from your supermarket, or need to send a last-minute gift: there’s plenty of situations where we’ve got you covered!

Ordering with Shoply saves you from having to lug heavy carrier bags up the stairs, queue at a shopping till, or sit in slow moving traffic. No hassle, no stress, just your favourite brands enjoyed at your own convenience.

3. How does it work?

We partner with great independent local shops to get their products to you via on-demand delivery. By using our handy app or visiting our website, you can shop from the local stores servicing your area. Our partners will receive your order, process it, and send it out for quick delivery, or at a specific time you’ve selected. It’s as easy as that!

4. What are the opening times, minimum spend and delivery fees?

We work with our partners to set convenient opening times (within local licensing hours), minimum spend and delivery fees.  After entering your delivery postcode on our app or website, each shop’s opening times, minimum spend, and delivery fee will be shown to you. These will vary from shop to shop, but most charge a £3.50 delivery fee and many are open til late. But remember, our website is live 24 hours a day if you wish to pre-order for the following day.

In Scotland, in keeping with Scottish alcohol laws, we cannot legally accept orders past 10pm for same day delivery.

5. Where do you deliver?

We partner with great independent shops across the UK. By entering your postcode on our app or website, you can see which stores we have partnered with who can deliver right to your front door.

We’re expanding all the time but if we don’t yet deliver to your postcode, please visit us here and let us know where you’d like us to expand next!

6. Can I track my order?

Yes!  After you place an order you can track it live in two ways:

Using our handy app:

  • Click “My Orders” from the menu on the left
  • Click “View Order”
  • Click “Track real time position”

Using the website:

  • In your confirmation email, click “Track order”
  • Click “My orders” from the menu at the top
  • Click “View order”
  • Click “Track real time position”

Please note that real time position tracking is only available after the delivery driver has accepted the order for delivery.

7. Can I change my order after I’ve placed it? 

If you’ve already placed your order, unfortunately it can’t be changed.  If you’d like to cancel your order and make a new one, please give the shop a call as soon as possible – their phone number will be in your confirmation email and you can also see it on our website or app after entering your delivery postcode.

8. How do I cancel my order?

To cancel your order, please phone the shop you’ve ordered from. Their phone number will be in your confirmation email and you can also see it on our website or app after entering your delivery postcode. Note that a restocking fee may still apply.

9. I can’t find the product I’m looking for, will it become available in the future?

Each one of the wonderful independent shops we partner with, list their own range of products on Shoply. Many will add to their range regularly and we are more than happy to share your feedback with them, if you think there is something special you’d like them to stock!

10. What steps do you take to make sure the alcohol can’t be ordered by under 18s?

The delivery driver will ask for ID at the time of delivery – they will require a driving licence or passport. Delivery drivers must deliver to a person (they can’t just leave the goods on the front porch), and will confirm age, and that the recipient is correct, at the time of delivery.

11. Do you have any plans to expand to other cities? 

Yes! we’re expanding across the UK weekly so keep your eyes open for Shoply. If you’d like to recommend a location, please drop us a message here.

12. Can I order a gift for someone else?

Of course! Last minute gifts are our speciality. Just enter your friend/lover/mum/boss’ delivery address at checkout and we’ll have that special something with them within 1 hour.

13. Did you used to be called Drinkly?

Yes, that’s right. We launched as Drinkly in 2016, bringing customers drinks-on-demand. We’ve since expanded to include groceries, household items and essentials, and we think the name ‘Shoply’ reflects the growing range we offer on the platform. We partner with a variety of quality independent shops from across the UK, all offering a unique product range on Shoply.
